The 420 series are class II legal for trade and can be used for weighing herbs, cannabis, gourmet coffee and tea shops, jewels, and precious metals (gold and silver) in retail business with 10, 20, or 50 mg precision. DETECTO’s DP series digital precision balance scales have a round 5-pin connector port located on the left side of the scale display that may be used to send weight and associated data to a printer or other RS232 device using an included 6.6 ft (2 m) cable with a DB-9 female connector. The port can be configured to send data continuously, send when a stable weight is obtained, or when the PRINT key is pressed.
